In reply to your Circular despatch of the 15th May last, I have the honour to state that no disabilities or restrictions are imposed on British Indians in this Colony.

According to the last census there were 1348 British Indians in Hong Kong, including the members of the Indian contingent of the Police, but exclusive of the Indian military establishment which numbers 1454 of all ranks.
